If you have a stone chip on your windscreen we highly recommend having it fixed as soon as possible. If left untreated, it will quickly develop into a crack unexpectedly giving you no other option other than a replacement windscreen.
We will do our upmost best to repair your chip however please note this depends on the size and position of the windscreen chip.
The fact is unfortunately not all chips are repairable but a full assessment will be done of the damage and we’ll advise you on any work that may be necessary.
It is important to note that a damaged windscreen can cause your vehicle to fail its MOT and reduce your visibility while driving.
Windscreen repairs are strictly structural and not cosmetic! There will be a noticeable improvement in size and visibility with the repair but it will not disappear completely. The main purpose is to add original strength back to the glass.
The British Standard Code of Practice currently allows a windscreen repair of damage that is contained within a circle of 10mm in Zone A, 15mm in Zone B, 25mm in Zone C and 40mm outside the wiper swept area (Zone C).
